Eric Paterniani at The Puppet Lab

Eric Paterniani will be part of the ensemble of puppeteers showing the piece "Erdos" for The Puppet Lab at the new St. Anne Warehouse.

"Erdos" is a new puppet piece conceived by artist and puppeteer Kate Brehm. It is inspired by a theoretical math puzzle called the Erdos Discrepency Problem that was proposed in the 1930's and the first portion of which was solved in 2014 by a computer. However, the proof for that solution is so long that a human would not be able to verify it's accuracy in a single lifetime. Ultimately, Erdos is a meditation on our relationship with technology and the role of trust between a human and computer.
